Description:
We're a rock band but better. We're 4 brothers from Hawthorn NY, 2 of which live in Brooklyn currently. We're into basement shows and playing birthday parties. (I don't mean like we entertain strangers, we play for fans and friends.) We shy away from (but don't rule out) age restricted shows, because we are quite young ourselves, and playing shows that we otherwise would not be allowed to attend is weird and stupid. We write whatever kinds of music we feel like, so go to www.myspace.com/nooneandthesomebodies for free MP3s, because I'm not going to describe the sound. I'm not articulate enough for that. Anyway, as you know, alomost every rock band sucks. We believe that silence generally sounds pretty good, and most rock bands fail to sound better than silence. One more thing, we might sound like assholes; I swear we're not. We're very friendly, and even if we think your band sucks, that doesn't mean we don't like you.

Band Members:
We all sing, there's no front man, hence the name No One and the Somebodies. There is no No One, we're all Somebodies. With that in mind, here we are in age order.

Bobby Yankou - age 13 - plays keyboards (sometimes drums, flute, bass). If he teases you, that means he likes you.

Kevin Yankou - age 17 - plays bass (harmonica, makes guitar noise). He's smarter than most of his teachers at Iona Prep (who give him bad grades).

Steve Yankou - age 20 - plays guitar. I'm the one writing, hard to say something insightful about ones self isn't it? I'll take the easy way out and tell you that I study Music Education at NYU and plan to be a music teacher in NYC public schools.

Brian Yankou - age 22 - plays drums (and a 3 foot chunk of highway guardrail). Brian pays my (Steve's) bills, and is my best friend. His lady friend, Ann Fitzgerald (also a very close friend of mine), sings in The Vibration (www.the-vibration.com), another amazing Westchester band that we play with all the time.
